Have noticed a number of northbound fast amersham, chesham and southbound fast aldgate services passing yesterday evening near pinner at around 9pm-11pm, the service on the met was showing as good service though. Were these trains just running later or was some sort of arrangement in place today. Would this also mean the slow lines between moor park and wembley park saw a reduced service?

Heading home from London at on the 0620 from Baker St, and when we left harrow the train came to a sudden halt with the driver saying there was a signal failure and that it was now non stop to Moor Park. Then in the evening my train at 1930 to London became a fast, as did my train home, which was the last Amersham train of the night. All were labeled as All Stations trains, and there were many confused and unhappy people.

Sometimes the S-stock can get spooked by fireworks and make a bolt for a terminus.

Sounds like a points failure at Watford South Junction, preventing Amersham/Chesham trains from accessing the local lines. Obviously that'd jus leave the Watford service to serve the local lines Moor Park - Harrow.

Must have been my lucky day on the Watford branch. I walked to the station and the train pulled up! Didn't fancy a long wait in the cold!!

I was delayed this morning travelling from North Harrow to Chesham for a Ramblers meet. I took the first train (which was not showing a destination, but the platform indicators at both North Harrow and Moor Park showed as Watford) and changed at Moor Park as advised. The following train was an Amersham on the slow line; it went through the points at Watford South Junction as normal as far as I could see. I had a long wait at Chalfont; a southbound train came off the branch roughly on time, but the next northbound train was another Amersham, which had come by the fast line. It was closely followed by the Chesham train (with several of our group), over 15 minutes late. It had been held at Watford South Junction to let the Amersham through first. I heard the problem was a signal failure in the Pinner area.

There was a suspected problem at Pinner but no fault found on test with a track circuit
