That was absurd, costing Cambridgeshire County Council in the tens of millions, when the St Ives branch line was losing peanuts!

The link from that site to the film is well worth having a look at - best to skip through the first part (about 2mins ) then you get some amazing footage of the engines and rolling stock in use. Never knew anything about this.
