I am sure the first train was 51501+51701. One of those units (51701) had a collision on the South Ealing test tracks when it was new. I can confirm next week if someone gives me a reminder. This was not the first train in passenger service though. And the Jubilee 1996 got there first with the Northern 1995 later!

I was wondering because i was sitting in the cab waiting for my target to advance in the Kennington Loop and i noticed the TBC seemed Looser and the buttons all felt different but I can't remember the Unit number I will keep an eye out for the earlier ones!

Would this be the oldest train on the network with an unmodified exterior livery? I'm not counting the 92ts on account of the cab repaints

Of course, if you simply mean the colours used, then yes, it would be the oldest train with the same exterior colours since construction

When was the present A Stock RAT and Spare Unit refurbished with it's present LU Livery? I'm aware that both 62TS RAT's were refurbished much later along with the Cravens 60TS AIT
