I was on the H&C at Whitechapel at around 8:45 this morning heading Westbound and we were held for a good few minutes at Whitechapel due to a reversing train at Aldgate East. What happened?

Its actually the same answer as your other query. districtdavesforum.co.uk/post/433222/threadThe door defect on train 56 at Gloucester Road caused a sufficiently large gap in the eastbound service that train 63 was reversed west to east at Aldgate East to fill this gap.

Various other trains were short tripped throughout the morning too; Parsons Green, Olympia and additional Dagenham East services were all noted. Indeed, there was also one train up as a Mansion House after the 'last", but I'm sure it was an error considering the stock... (S7)

Ahh, now I see. I noticed T056 was right behind the reverser, I didnt put 2+2 together. Eventful morning rush then...

(S7) S7's can reverse in the bay road at Mansion House but its very tight and must be done not in passenger service

Is there still quite a while to go until the crossover at Embankment is removed and replaced with the scissors crossover between there and Westminster?
