;D Where is the place, beloved of District line crews in the 60's, known as "Passion Chapel" ?

Is it the same place as the previously-mentioned (but not revealed, unless I missed something in the thread) "Pervert's Corner"? Russ

As no-one has yet sussed out the two places mentioned I will provide the answers.
Perverts Paradise was London Road depot. This is because there used to be a Catholic Girls school to the left and above it in level. Some of the girls were very forward (some of them very physically too) and used to torment the train crews and fitters with full frontal views of their anatomy through the windows (When no Sisters were about) One day when trains were due out the shunter (despatcher) had disappeared and a search was instigated for him. He was found shortly later in a little nook behind the old shunters cabin ogling the girlies and pumping up his flat tyre. The girls could see this from on high and were encouraging him!!
The other place of interest "Passion Chapel" was the District Line (at least at Upminster) men's nickname for Hornchurch

I've only ever been to London Road Depot once, and that was at the insistance of the guy who was running the course I was on - I have to say I wondered why at the time...... b*gger kept that quiet - he could at least have shared that 'local knowledge' with us, after all, he had come (so's to speak!) from that line....... But (being the picture of all innocence of course) I can't possibly IMAGINE what was on display Hornchurch - hmm.. IIRC we've a couple of contributors here from that neck of the woods. Wonder if they'd care to confirm or deny? As for 'pumping up his flat tyre' - ROFLMAO!!!

I have to admit I never saw anything like that when in London Road, though being there during the night may have had something to do with it. We did have some very amusing drunk students and German tourists though... ;D
