I recently noticed a plaque at Stratford Station in remembrance of 12 people killed on 8 April 1953 in a collision between two Central Line stations adjacent to Stratford Station.
Does anyone know anything more about this?

Does anyone know anything more about this? Check out the 'Railways Archive' web page, also there is a 'Pathe' newsreel of it on YouTube

It was two crowded eastbound standard stock trains; one held outside Leyton at a signal, the other running into its rear.

Thank you for this. The fact that the plaque was unveiled in April 2016 would explain why I have not seen it before.
I also noticed on 18/8/2016 a plaque in Finsbury Square in remembrance of the Moorgate train crash in 1975
