...that involves the most changes between staions or lines.
I've so far come up with six changes on a West Ruislip - Chesham journey. tho, I think this journey would be much quicker if you walk from West Ruislip to Ickenham and went from there.
You can only use the Underground system [Docklands included]
If you beat my six changes, theres a 'small' prize available...! [though do tell how you came up with your answer!!!]
Have fun!!!

West Ruislip to Bond Street (Central) Bond Street to Finchley Road (Jubilee) Finchley Road to Chalfont (Met) then Chalfont to Chesham.

If you beat my six changes, theres a 'small' prize available...! [though do tell how you came up with your answer!!!] West Ruslip - Notting Hill Gate (Central Line) Notting Hill Gate - Paddington (District/Circle - First Train that comes regardless of what line it's running on) Paddington - Baker Street (Bakerloo Line) Baker Street - Finchley Road (Jubilee Line) Finchley Road - Harrow On The Hill (Metropolitan Line) Harrow On The Hill - Chalfont & Latimer (Metropolitan Line) Chalfont & Latimer - Chesham (Metropolitan Line) How I got my answer - I used my knowledge of LUL Lines and their connections with others.

Strangely enough, the route I gave for the West Ruislip - Chesham, is the one quoted on the Journey Planner on the Tfl Website... Do they know something we don't???

I got it with one change, West Ruislip - Liverpool St, then Chesham Flyer Liverpool St to Chesham. This is also on the Journey planner, but you need to select the "least changes" option. In fact I reckon that no journey on the tube map requires more than two changes, most only one.

(bear in mind there is no sheduled journey from Olympia that goes as far as Edgware Road)

Dunno about secret extensions but you can have a kip and a meal between interchanges. Don't like licorice allsorts you get too much of a run for your money. Can I have a toffee apple instead.?

Toffee Apple? Are these things still around? Haven't seen them for years. When I were a lad, used to be able to buy them from man on bike who cycled round streets, ring ding dinging his bell. If I find one, I'll let you know...

You never can tell some people fancies you know! I mean some people go round looking for red headed black men in green suits carrying a banana. This is because there are not many of them about!!!
Yes, toffee apples are still around we get them at our local greengrocers.

It's a right b*gger having to buy the whole apple when all you want is the toffee part.

It's a right b*gger having to buy the whole apple when all you want is the toffee part. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Make your own toffee lad. I know I've seen a recipe for that kind of toffee on the net somewhere. It's quite simple too (like me)
Here.
6 tbsp caster sugar 85ml water 600g demerara sugar 100g unsalted butter 2 tsp vinegar 2 tsp vanilla essence Preparation
Place all the ingredients in a heavy-based pan and bring to the boil. Cooking time is approximately 30 minutes. If you have a sugar thermometer it should read 150C or 300F, or you can test by dripping into a bowl of cold water. The toffee is ready when drops harden.

As the recipe came from the BBC I shall speak very posh BBC talk for the reply.

Without giving offence I see that someone else has trouble spelling "Necessary". (I had to use the spell checker for that too)
