Lads, what, in your opinion, is the best computer operating system. Windows? Mac? Linux? Solaris?I only ask as I am getting p*ssed off with Windows and I can''t fathom Linux as it seems so completely different to windows even though I've bought all sorts of books about it.
I'm not one for all the pretty graphics and pictures as I think they are a waste. In fact I would prefer to have an all-text desktop like you see in hospitals and suchlike but I can't find one. So if you can advise a dozy old git he'd appreciate it.
