From the TFL website:
"No service Gloucester Road to Acton Town, Richmond and Edgware Road to Wimbledon, Earl's Court to Kensington (Olympia) from start of traffic on the 26th December until 22:00 on the 30th December"
What is being done, and where will District trains reverse? Can they do west to east at Gloucester Road via main line shunt from Circle line O/R platform to eastbound main? Or could District services run round to Edgware Road, as it'll be all S7 by then?

A little pedantic, but that's written in an odd way and suggests services usually run from Richmond to Wimbledon! Surely it should be 'Gloucester Road to Acton Town/Richmond, Edgware Road to Wimbledon...'

Surely it should be 'Gloucester Road to Acton Town/Richmond, Edgware Road to Wimbledon...' I agree. Good to know that I'm not the only punctuation pedant on this forum! (It was a direct quote from the TFL site, so maybe I will now live up to my pedantry and use inverted commas!)

Hopefully renewing 5A/5B points at Earl's Court, linked with installing new crossing from West Brompton into pfm.1, although likely to remain out of use until resignallng is achieved in the area.
District drivers are not trained from Gloucester Road to High Street Ken, although the statement above does seem to suggest that trains will operate through there, possibly with a change of drivers at Gloucester Road.

It looks like the Circle will be running normally, so will there be enough spare drivers from the H&C / Circle?
Unless they will reverse the District at South Kensington? Or will that crossover be gone by then?

As far as I can see, there will only be a service between Action Town and Ealing Broadway, and between Gloucester Road and Upminster. Not sure how they will be reversed at Gloucester Road without getting in the way of Circle trains though.

Could it be that they're advertising a service to Gloucester Road, as the Circle line will be providing service on that shared section, with District line services reversing somewhere between Tower Hill and Gloucester Road?

When something like this happened before, the District was reversed at South Kensington via the westbound platform.

Circle: no service Edgware Road-Aldgate via Victoria District: special services, Ealing Broadway-Acton Town; Upminster-Edgware Road. So it looks like the notice quoted by superteacher should have said "No service Gloucester Road to Acton Town, Richmond and Wimbledon, nor from Edgware Road to Wimbledon," Although in fact there will be a service from Edgware Road to High Street Ken

Upminster and Barking drivers are not signed off for HSK - Edgware Road, and no District drivers signed for Glouxester Road to HSK. Will be interesting to see how this is overcome.

Don't forget from 2200 on 30/12/16 no service Embankment westbound and as other closures. I am wondering if we will be doing Ealing - Acton or Ealing Bdy -Ealing common so we don't screw over the Picc line

May be using Circle T/ops to work trains Gloucester road - Edgware Road and District drivers picking up from Gloucester Road Circle/H&C know the route through the city as far as Barking so reliefs could be done at Barking as well.
