If it's going to the tip, then I'm sure members here would appreciate bits being thrown in their direction! I've not space for the whole thing, but might be able to find space for a few bits of the glazing and the ticket rack(s).
Were the LT Museum not interested in it?

Were the LT Museum not interested in it? With all the appeal and quality of crittall windows, TBH I'm not sure that anyone should bid, let alone house the structure... IMO £0.99 is about the right price (including delivery worldwide)... and I would argue, complete rebuilding to its final resting place... at a local refuse site. I post that with no disrespect to the seller... I just think it was/is a cheap installation that LT built at the time. My POV is that, with space being a premium at both Acton and Covent Garden (not to mention funding), there are far more important things that the LTM should be keeping. EDIT - UPDATE
To be fair I will contact our LTM person to seek their viewpoint... so I'm very happy if I am found to be wrong.

I think I need to put some perspective around this. I bought a house with a large garden. In the garden is this thing. It's interesting and all that, but I'm no transport enthusiast and clearly, it's not going to last much longer in it's current condition. So, I contacted the forum to see if there was any interest and there was little interest.
I could have just taken a sledgehammer to it (I still might given ChrisW's head-up-rear comments) but I thought I would advertise it on eBay to give anyone interested a chance to save it or whatever. All I want is a garden that is safe for young children to play in. That's not the case with the Passimeter in it as it stands.
If I had a wish it would be saved in situ but that's not going to happen.

If I had a wish it would be saved in situ but that's not going to happen. Narnian Having a background of working in construction and then with crittall windows (local authority), I know that quality/standard of build that these components would/wouldn't meet... hence the emergency need for replacement UPVC windows across the housing stock held by the same local authority in the mid-late 1990s. I therefore also posted... If you think these comments are " head-up-rear" so be it. You may have missed my further thoughts/comments... To that end I have made good. The forum has a direct link to the LTM and the senior person we deal with has communicated that it is clear that the item is in bad shape and that the persons who would have any interest are aware. I am sorry if you feel that our exchange was negative

I appreciate Chris W flagging this up directly to us. As he indicates - the right people at LTM are aware of it.

Good morning All Just a note to anyone watching the passimeter on eBay: the Museum is not seeking to collect this object. The sale finishes in about 30 minutes and we won't be bidding so if anyone is interested please don't feel restrained.

99p What a shame
The constituent parts are worth a lot more
I recently saw a ticket rack like that at an antiques fair, and that alone was £25
Similarly, that light is worth at least a £tenner to a deco collector

Unfortunately I couldn't bid as I didn't want the responsibility of removing the whole thing from the seller's garden.
