I live in Southfields. No service this morning from Parsons Green to Southfields and Wimbledon because of flooding. I can't think where on the track this could be. Any ideas?

If it's between Putney bridge and East Putney we're all in dead trouble.

Service resumed early afternoon, but was suspended again later. Various flooding elsewhere caused multiple signal failures in the line, which has been in the severe delays category for most of the day, even though it was advertised as a good service this afternoon. I can assure you - that was utter codswallop!
EDIT: Just seen this on TFL site:
District Line: No service Earls Court to Ealing Broadway/Richmond due to flooding at Wimbledon Park and signal failure at St James's Park and South Kensington caused by flooding. SEVERE DELAYS on the rest of the line.
Why suspend to Ealing and Richmond?

As a result of today's delays, I managed to experience a rare one stop passenger service. Just after 7.15am, I jumped onto train 67 in Barking Bay platform. Platform 6 was crowded, and seeing the train in the bay was a D, I headed over. We pulled away, then the train stopped at the next signal. Driver then announces on the PA that we will be terminating at East Ham!
The platform at East Ham was rammed, and the sight of a near empty train must have caused their eyes to light up. Until they were told they couldn't board!
Also managed a trip into Mansion House bay courtesy of late running train 64. And yes, it was a D!
Am surprised they can keep up with which sets are D's, what will all the reformations that occurred.

Why suspend to Ealing and Richmond? Some kind of service recovery tactic?

Why suspend to Ealing and Richmond? Some kind of service recovery tactic? Or maybe because the service is so bad and infrequent, it might as well be suspended to all intents and purposes!

Any idea if any overnight work is planned to get it running by tomorrow?

Any idea if any overnight work is planned to get it running by tomorrow? It's running now. No more rain expected either.

I travelled from Euston Square to East Putney around 17:15 this evening. While waiting at Edgware Road for a Wimbledon train, a Barking train (Moorgate according to the platform display) came and went on platform 3. At High Street Kensington we were told that the train was diverted to Olympia and after most of us had got out at Earls Court it was re-diverted to Parsons Green. By then there was no service beyond Parsons Green so I walked home to Putney via my polling station.
