At long last these are being installed at Rickmansworth, to be followed by all stations north.
I wonder how long before commissioning.

Well they've been in place at Northwood for some time and still display a generic message!

i was under the impression that these indicators between harrow and northwood had now been in use and working. I have certainly seen them at North Harrow, Pinner and Northwood Hills
I wonder how the ones from Amersham to Ricky will show the Chiltern trains, London Marylebone or Marylebone (Fast)??
Are there any plans to install these at Harrow on the hill? I am not suggesting replacing the light boxes but to have them in addition to these like the arrangement at Earls Court

New DMIs / VEIDs currently being installed at Hillingdon also. A new system was installed at Northwick Park a few months ago to make use of the existing VEIDs that didn't show anything most of the time. When it works, it is excellent, a big improvement.
The new system is planned to be installed at Preston Road if it is deemed successful at Northwick Park. The VEIDs at Preston Road aren't too bad, but they only seem to work intermittently, and even when they do, the accuracy of information often leaves a lot to be desired.

Dot matrix displays at Ricky now active. Chiltern trains both north and southbound just described as 'Chiltern train' Met trains described with destination on one line with 'all stations' on the line below on southbound trains slow trains.

West Harrow is up and running although with Kings Cross reversers last weekend 'Metropolitan Train' was the best it could show which is hardly surprising given the system it works off.

Do the indicators at Rickmansworth say if a train is passing non stop (Chiltern) and warning people to stand back?

Do the indicators at Rickmansworth say if a train is passing non stop (Chiltern) and warning people to stand back? They say Chiltern Train and the time till arrival and when it aproaches it says stand clear.

Unfortunately the one at Rickmansworth didn't last long. Not been working since about Thursday. Both platforms now are blank.

Are they working now?
Also regarding the Uxbridge branch, why does rayners Lane still not have indicators? I am very surprised considering this Is the main point of change between the met and picc on the branch, any idea why other stations along the branch have them but RL doesn't?

I think it might be to do with it being a junction station and the boards would probably not have anything useful to display? As I'm not sure that they have updated whatever system in place on that part of the Met line.

The train description may not get set up till its in the platform by this time it's too late for the sign in reality. I'm not sure how the description is set up at Rayners Lane plus you can reverse off the westbound platform again more then likely be a last minute change again to late for the signs to catch up.

Very interesting responses. I would have thought that this is possible as other stations with junctions seem to have them set up e.g Aldgate East and Ealing Common Eastbound (Towards central london).
I take it that due to this, RL will most likely not receive any DMI's until re-signalling is complete on one of the two lines?

But Rayners is still controlled from the signal cabin, unlike Aldgate East and Ealing Common. However, I would naively think that if you can do it at Ricky (as per the title of the thread), you could surely do it at Rayners?
