...or plastic strips if you want to go about it in a simple way.
Another 1992TS Cheap fix? I noticed a lot of these strips on many but not all Central Line trains. They are being slotted on both sides of the Poster Board frame I assume to prevent the posters from falling.
Unfortunately, the strips have not even lasted a week, they curve and start to fall off. I inspected one that I found on the ventilation grills behind the seats. It's a fairly thick piece of perspex which has been sharpened on each end, I believe that the strips are wedged between the poster and frame.
Any more info on this marvelous idea?

I've seen those as well, although I don't have any more info.
I've also noticed that another cheap fix that's been appearing for a while is to place white/light cream coloured large stickers to cover up the filthy pillars either side of the windows, instead of actually washing/cleaning them properly. However, some of these stickers are so poorly applied/misaligned that I feel it looks worse than if it was just left untouched.

I've noticed the plastic stickers I can't quite decide if it's a good idea or a tacky idea Balanced against a need to save money they are ok
Most people don't study the train interior in that much detail they just want to get from a to b At a glance the stickers do look crisp and clean compared to a discoloured window frame / wall But then the more you study them the worse they look
I'd rather the plastic stickers if it saves money to be spent on actually making sure the train works!
it's cheap, can be ripped off and a new one applied if the train gets graffitied

I saw them this morning. Its quite a good but simple idea. The amount of adverts that have fallen or have been pulled off is high. When changing ends at Northolt etc, they are strewn over the carriage. Bear in mind, the advertisers pay good money to advertise on the tube.

white plastic stickers can now be found on the roof of the train (the outside obvs). some car ends which haven't been replaced look like they are now being repaired. Obvs couldn't afford to replace all of them!
