Why in the last 2/3 weeks has there been around 3 obstructions of the track at West Ham suspending services?
Thanks

Because some locals have thrown things on the track several times over the last few weeks.

Because some locals have thrown things on the track several times over the last few weeks. I was told a train hit a shopping trolley last week which subsequently ended up wedged under the front coupler !

Last night was the 4th instance of these incidents in the West Ham area.

Large sheets of metal and wood are thrown onto the track which then gets wedged under the train. BTP have stepped up patrols in the area.

Apparently a protective fence is now going to be constructed; until such time as it's completed there will be 24 hour security on site. No doubt the yobbos will find somewhere else.
