Unfortunately they can't please everyone ! The work needs doing, the track, tunnel and drainage are appalling between Finchley Road and Baker Street so it was either lots of weekend shutdowns or these early shutdowns !

It's no different from what Network Rail do on a regular basis

Well it was either this or a 22 week blockade. Was starting to wonder when they were actually going to release it to the public!
The option of extended engineering hours is a sensible one though. The stats and figures in terms of cost, overall time frame of the works and the considerable extra amount of work that can be completed each night just goes to show this.

I'm wondering what these late evening possessions will do for overnight S7 stabling in Wembley Park Sidings?

I'm wondering what these late evening possessions will do for overnight S7 stabling in Wembley Park Sidings? I think they will be heading north prior to the shut down.

At present the Wembley Park S7 trains arrive there at 0019/0040/0110/0133 so if they all have to be tucked away in bed by 2200 that would seem to mean a reduction in late-night frequency on the Circle/H&C.

Or possibly with a bit of re-jiggling the timetable, have the S7s stable at Wembley Park before 2200? Wasn't the whole point of stabling at Wembley Park maintenance related?

I'm wondering what these late evening possessions will do for overnight S7 stabling in Wembley Park Sidings? of the 4 trains currently; 2 trains will stable at Hammersmith sidings, 1 train will stable in Neasden depot, 1 will remain stabling at Wembley Park.

i think the Jubilee line is extending it's service at the end of the day to take up some of the slack betweem Finchley Road and Baker Street

Why would they need to use Neasden? Surely any train that can get as far as Neasden could just go to Wembley Park as normal?

The last SB Metropolitan train leaves Wembley Park at 21.54; Baker Street at 22.08 to Aldgate. This same train makes the last NB Metropolitan train from Aldgate at 22.32 to Chesham, via Baker Street 22.52
ps. If major events take place at Wembley Stadium on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings the work will be suspended and a normal service will operate the next morning.

I am surprised that there is no work being carried out on Sunday nights, I would have thought an earlier close, therefore a longer nights work, would have been possible.

Perhaps there is a concern about not getting it right on the MONDAY morning and upsetting all the Mon-Frid 9 to 5 passengers (sorry Customers) who live in Metroland

I am surprised the last southbound train does not terminate at Baker Street with the previous City train running the last train out of town.

I, for one, am glad, as I needn't curtail my beering quite as early as I had feared :-)
