Late yesterday morning as I was leaving the Waterloo & City station - at the Waterloo end - a message came over the loudspeaker something to the effect 'Code 03 Waterloo & City platform'.
As it was obviously an internal announcement I thought no more about it but after de-training again at Barking I became aware that the W & C service was at a standstill and so it continued for perhaps a couple of hours.
Without expecting anyone to divulge what code 03 is (as its obviously for private use) I just wondered if it would have been the reason for the closure of the system. Just curious? Thanks.

oooh! thank you for posting them a) it means that when I frequently hear calls for a "code 6" it's not too bad for the poor cleaner b) they always make me chuckle - it's all a bit Tom Clancy for a pretty mundane thing

Nobody could remember them, so the cleaners used to get called for a "code... er... um... code puke" etc!
