There's planned engineering work taking place on the Central line this weekend (30th to 31st January), with no service between Leytonstone and Epping/Hainault (via Woodford). Just wondering what they're doing?

Could well be something at or very near to Woodford Junction.

Thanks for this information , do you know why the M63 points machines at Loughton are being changed to Surelock point machines as part of the Night Tube works ?

I was at SMD when the Surelock was first used on a set of sidings points as a trial by Tubelines .

Interesting that the "LU/NR boundary" at Epping is mentioned. Is that the end of the conductor rail towards Ongar, and thus the same as the start of the EOR?

Yes this is the boundary between the LUL and Epping Ongar Railway, some times when enginering works take place under a Enginering Possesion , LUL works trains cross this boundary to stable as part of the works plan. All this takes place under LUL rules and Epping Ongar rules.
