This is the second question after my trip to London. In the tunnel to Woolwich Arsenal, most of the lights are white, but there are many blue lights at regular intervals. I couldn't see clearly, but I thought I could see emergency telephones near each blue light. Would they be markers for telephones?

Not quite; the lights show where there is an emergency phone, not an emergency exit.

I guess that the blue lights don't represent both because that could be hazardous - you could walk through a smoke filled tunnel and end up at a telephone and not an exit! It would be pot luck if you reach an exit or a phone... I am guessing that a DLR train passenger service agent (or whatever they are called now) would know because it would be part of their training?
