I was in London this weekend and at Green Park when i left the jubilee line (cant remember if i was going W/bound or E/bound) but i noticed above the track at the end of the platform were some lights and obviously a tunnel. I know that the disused Jubilee platforms at Charing Cross have some tunnels above the tracks as i've read some urban explorers forums and seem some pictures (disused tunnels/shafts are of interest to me) but i never knew that Green Park has the same. What are they used for? Untitled by Jason, on Flickr Untitled by Jason, on Flickr

^^Are they connected to the Victoria line, because you can hear 09TS when near these vents.

I imagine they're draught relief vents, designed to allow the rush of air pushed into the station by an approaching train (or dragged out behind a departing train) to be dispersed instead of creating the draughts in the passenger approach tunnels one finds in older stations. It wouldn't be surprising if the system was shared by another line/platform and the noises travelled through.

There is a ventilation shaft for the Victoria line near the station. This has a large extract fan.
They may have added a connection.

There's a draught-relief shaft for the Jubilee which comes up in Blue Ball Yard, however this comes down between the Jubilee platforms at their east end. Likewise there's a similar shaft in Green Park itself, however this comes down alongside the sb tunnel approaching the station, and isn't visible from the platforms. The latter shaft also serves the Victoria Line. For completeness, there's also a fan and cable shaft for the Victoria Line in Dover Street which serves the Victoria Line running tunnels, a separate adjacent draught-relief shaft serves the Piccadilly Line via the original platform-access passageways. Both these Dover Street shafts utilise old lift shafts as far as I know.
