TfL will probably only rename the Heathrow Airport stations network-wide when the airport terminals are renamed (assuming thats the plan). As I'm not sure if the new/refurbished terminals will have new names or reopen as Terminal 1 etc.

The London's Rail & Tube services map has now been updated on the TfL website. From a quick look I have found that... Oyster Pay-As-You-Go area now extended to Hertford East and Gatwick Airport Zone 2/3 shown as on the tube map Heathrow Airport T1/2/3 is now only T2/3 tfl.gov.uk/maps/track/national-railI think PAYG also reaching Dartford is a new element as is the inclusion of the High Speed 1 route between Kings Cross and Stratford International and with no "carve out" clause in a text box as there was before. Yes that is also included. One change which I did not realise at the time was the Gatwick Express being included on the map. Found this by comparing the two maps as TfL haven't changed the one on the web page as of yet...

Its a shame that the map does not include Thameslink from Kentish Town to Elephant / London Bridge or the Moorgate - Finsbury Park line.

Which map?
If you are talking about the tube map, then that is a result of the TSGN services being a Franchise awarded by the DfT and one over which TfL have no say. The Overground routes are there precisely because they are concessions let by TfL themselves - who have the final say on what they want from them.
Had TfL not been given the powers to administer National rail franchises then its quite possible that we would have seen no national rail services appearing on the map at all.

The Zone 2/3 scheme is just confusing. I get it but I doubt that many people in the area would. The whole map also looks too crowded and untidy, I'm glad that Harry Beck isn't alive today to see his design mutate into a corporate monstrosity. I always thought that the Map should be kept simple by retaining the Beck Style Diagram for Underground Services ONLY There should be a new map design for all TfL services including Tram and a third map for all rail services in London

As I'm not sure if the new/refurbished terminals will have new names or reopen as Terminal 1 etc. The plan was, and probably still is, that the following will happen: Terminal 1 (already closed and in the process of being dismantled, but some time before this is complete), will be replaced with a greatly expanded terminal 2. Terminal 3 will also eventually close (no date for this yet as far as I'm aware) and be replaced by extensions in terminals 2 and 4. Terminal 5 will also be expanded, although I don't know if this will mean more airlines other than just BA and Iberia using the terminal. This will all result in the following names for terminals (could have changed since I was last at Heathrow 9 months ago): Terminal 2 will have sub-terminals known as 2a, 2b and 2c Terminals 4 and 5 will have sub-terminals known as 4a and 4b, and 5a and 5b. As I said, this was the plan about 9 months ago. Whether it's changed since then, I don't know.

Terminal 5 has 5C too. I think the plan with T3 is for it to be replaced with a 5D and 5E.

The original Terminal 2 (which was the oldest one*) closed in 2009 and its replacement opened in 2014. The T2 remain on the maps during that interval?
It had no need of a name until another terminal was built in 1968 - the new one was then called terminal 1 and the original one terminal 2

It had no need of a name until another terminal was built in 1968 - the new one was then called terminal 1 and the original one terminal 2 The third passenger Terminal to open was the current Terminal 3 (opened as Oceanic Building) in 1961. The Europa Building (what became Terminal 2) opened in 1955 along with the Queens Building.
