Still very much in use, at the present time. I'll be very sad to see this iconic building turned into flats. A few weeks back I was lucky enough to be allowed into the building for a talk - below are the four snaps I managed to take with my phone (apologies for the quality). Anyone got any more? Ground floor: 7th (I think) floor: Wish I'd taken a few extra photos in the meeting room - lots of poster artwork (some originals) on the walls.

Not that I know much about planning controls, but I imagine converting a grade 1 listed office building to residential must pose a few issues. Wikipedia states:

Before I left LU I arranged to pop into 55 on a Saturday to take some photos of the building - much easier without people milling about. Photos on the link below. 55 Broadway piccies

I cannot now find the reference (London Reconnections?) but there is a very full report by the job architects on the interior fittings in 55 Broadway identifying room by room items of historic interest. So these will I hope have been taken into account in planning and more importantly in the listed building consent.

Nice photos snoggle, thanks for posting. Is the TRAINS INTERVAL board still located at Piccadilly Circus and were/are others located around the system?

Nice photos snoggle, thanks for posting. Is the TRAINS INTERVAL board still located at Piccadilly Circus and were/are others located around the system? At Piccadilly Circus I think it was called "See How They Run" or some such. Anyway, that is long gone but the World Time display is still there.
