Are spectacle wearing train operators entitled to a 'spare pair' paid for by the company?
What is the upper limit to the cost?
Thanks for any advice from those in the know.

All staff that wear glasses and are in a safety critical activity are required to have a second pair.
The company makes a payment of around £65 (I'm not at work at the moment so I can't check) towards the second pair.
A lot of us go to Specsavers... ;-)

I don't work for any part of LU, but late last year I bought a couple of pairs of glasses online. The company needed to see a recent prescription and then I was sent various frames to try on before they made up my new pairs. They were also offering buy one pair, get another pair free.
When I get my eyes tested again in March, I'll probably go back to the same company.
I am presuming that I shouldn't share the name of the company on the board.
(added in - I was impressed with the service and the price).

I checked today and LU pays £87.50 towards a spare pair of glasses.
