destination: watford junction

A little early? Presume this was some sort of test? Did anyone else spot this?

I didn't spot that train today. However 2-3 months ago I was on a Watford bound service that proclaimed itself to be heading towards Watford Junction.

Well, OK, only for about 30 seconds

Whilst stopped at Harrow the CIS announced "The destination of this train has changed. This is now an all stations train to Watford Junction". Followed about 30 seconds later with "The destination of this train has changed. This is now an all stations train to Watford".

I think someone reported on the Croxley Link thread that the S8 CIS had been updated several months ago to include the new stations.

Watford Junction-related destinations have been available on the S8 TCMS for some time now.

No videos afaik. As Jack says, it's just the drivers applying a little bit of light hearted humour/trying it out for curiosity.

When lamping out the last trains at Preston Road/Northwick Park, Ive seen a few go flying down the Southbound Fast proclaiming 'Watford Junction' on the front.

All the trains on the SB Fast at that time of night are taken out of service at Harrow to run empty to depot so just the drivers having a bit of fun.

Did make me smile though when I saw them going past!
