Hi again

Sorry to ask but I'm confused by the TFL website as what my child needs.

Is the 11 - 15 Zip photo card an Oyster card that can be topped up and used as PAYG on all TFL services or is it just a photo ID card to be used in conjunction with a PAYG Oyster card? If it is a PAYG Oyster card for children, can it be used to tap in and out on the National rail 'Red route' services within Greater London?

The photo is there to ensure it is only used by the entitled person

It is worth adding that a 11-15 Zip Oyster Card can also, if required, have a Child Rate zonal Travelcard added to it. This is only likely to be worthwhile if the child is making very regular use of rail and tube / DLR / Overground services. Otherwise a cash balance on the card should cover PAYG child rate travel on all rail services. Buses and Trams are free for 11-15 Zip Card holders.
