This photograph shows part of the 1892 Metropolitan Railway Jubilee Coach as seen at Watford station during the "Steam On the Met" event on Sunday 13th September 2015. If you look through the open door window you will see a face that looks out of place. It seems to be looking straight at me and is in the wrong place to be connected to the person sitting near the window. If you look below the face and through the part of the window that is inside the door, you may notice that it does not have a neck! Photographed by a spooked-out Simon.

A good pic. It's somehow the reflection of the man in the red t-shirt. Although how it is I haven't got the foggiest.

I was never very good at Art! I think that what has happened here is the droplight is down (possibly so Mr Spectral here can inhale the fumes from met 1) with the top part of the droplight obscuring his neck and the highly reflective outer window certainly doesn't help matters.

when I zoomed in on that image I saw part of his face in the correct position for his body... and behind this spectral face!
Simon
ps:I've just lost a message... the system let me start a reply (using the more advanced reply box) and then when I pressed the send button it decided it wanted me to login again. In the process my message was vaporized.

Hmm-logical references apart, the coach dates from 1892, ne c'est-pa, 'Astings? In what year was ze story Dracula by Bram Stoker published-1897. Where does Count Orlock reside when he comes to zeese shores-Whitby. Watford also begins with ze letter, W, does it not, Capten? In which case, mon ami, you have every right to be spooked, because ze spectral Count has removed ze one identifying facet of his appearance to escape detection-he has shaved off his moustache in a vain attempt to hide from the citizens of District Dave's forum. We, however, now know where he was reincarnated in 1897 and therefore we can deduce one person who will be riding all-night tubes, but will not be appearing on ze CCTV images.

I think if you edited-out the train in the opposite platform, and 'stripey-shirt person', the Face might then fit the seated passenger. As for Poirot, I remember seeing him boarding a MET carriage somewhere improbable. The cameraman kept the give-away round-topped door just out of frame, but the ones further down gave the game away.
