Before the invention of the blinky light doohickeys used to denote TSRs, how were they indicated on the track to the Motormen?
I assume that they would be listed in the Traffic Circular, of course, but what sort of trackside indications were used to denote severity, distance and termini?

They were light boxes placed on the track side about a foot square with the speed or T illuminated.

They were light boxes placed on the track side about a foot square with the speed or T illuminated. The light boxes were powered by the Current Rails
