00 Gauge Acton Shuttle

For my LT stock I use halfords spray paints. The undercoat is grey primer and the red is Peugeot cherry red spray.

You can paint or spray the under frame black but don't get paint on the wheels or motor as they don't like paint!

The cars had London Transport on each side between the double doors and the car number between the double doors and drivers ends. The cars involved were 4167 and 4176. How you build the kit will depend on the number you give it but there are instructions with the kit from memory.

For you RAT are you jousting the red white and blue 1959 EFE models?

To make transfers you need to make up the logos on word say and print them into transfer paper. A laser printer is best for this but a coat of varnish will seal the transfer on.

Prior to conversion 4176 was A end and 4167 was D end. This means that 4176 has it's pipes closest to the middle M door. At the rear end where the new cab was fitted with only two small lamps the pipes are on the outer sides of the car. The D end car 4167 is the reverse.

Look up some photos on the web of the shuttle and it will help you. Did you get the headlight and door sprue and pipe and coupler pieces with it?
