Me and another member here (won't name name's incase of embarrasment) love our BVE LU routes and love driving them, I was telling him how sometimes I'll pretend things go wrong, like when I'm about to close the doors, I'll quickly open them again pretending a 'late-comer' tried to get on. Then I'll make a quiet announcement to myself saying 'To the bloke who just tried to ram himself into the doors, the trains are already vandalised without you breaking the doors'
sometimes I'll stop in the middle of a countryside patch and announce 'Aww pretty little sheeps! how fluffy are they? now who's going to bet a tenner I can get every one of them under the train?'
Or my other is stopping at a signal and say 'Some twit decided it would be funny to change the signal to red as I'm still passing, you're lovable train will get going shortly'
So yeah, I take my sims seriously and you can see how passionate I am to be a driver.
So what are your funny anouncements you've made?
OR for the passenger - what funny anouncements have you heard?
I'll get me coat.

I think we all do take simulators too seriously, whether we admit it or not.
A couple of days ago I heard a bang outside the window and put the train into emergency brake!
I'll now go and fetch my coat too!!!

Me and another member here (won't name name's incase of embarrasment) love our BVE LU routes . Might as well come out with it - i am that member! I think the little things like announcements, swearing at red signals and keeping hand on keyboard/joystick whilst travelling (i.e. like a dead mans handle) enhance the realism. For the time being it's the closest some of us will get! By the way, when making announcements look over your shoulder every now and then to make sure no one is about! I remember one embarrising incident I told DS about over MSN which i'll relay to you again. We must all learn from one anothers mistakes! This all happened a few years ago: Next to the computer there is a landline phone. There is also a landline phone in another room, so lazy people like me don't have to get off their arses. I decieded to make my annoucements all the more real my using the phone to talk through and you get to hear that 'echo' which can be like on a station if you do it right. I picked it up, announced the line, the destinantion, current station and next station. Then I heard voices coming through, and pause. I then realised my dad was talking to someone (a governer at my school to be exact!) on the other phone. I slammed the phone down and carried on the route in silence. I later claimed the phone had fallen and had landed next to the speaker. Oops. Would you get my coat since your getting yours, DS?!

Someone told me you can get an echo effect when wearing a PC headset with a mike attached. Is that true?
