There have been numerous times where I have come from Heathrow on the Picc and soon as my train enters the platform, a District line train pulls out. That means I have to wait 12 minutes for another train. This is very inconvenient for me because I am often in a rush to get to places. Not only that for example, tourists coming from Heathrow will often find this also very irritating. This happens 7 days a week.
What really annoyed me earlier was that I was coming off a British Rail train from Twyford to Ealing Broadway and I saw that a District line S7 pulling out so I asked the station assistant when the next District line train is and he replied "20 mins". So I just got on the Central line. I know this was on a Sunday but still it is annoying.
I am starting to get very fed up with this and so do others!
The frequency should be increased!

The frequency should be increased! Some improvements are coming, but there've been quite a few problems. Ealing broadway is due to get 8 trains per hour in the peak, although I don't know that you should expect significant improvements on Sundays - or any. Apart from that, unless you are volunteering to perform the requisite sorcery, I'm afraid there's nothing doing. But as you rightly observe, Ealing Broadway is also served by the Central line. Also, Ealing Common is served by the Picc, Acton Town by the Picc and stations between Turnham Green and Hammersmith are additionally served by trains ex Richmond. However, the timetabled service is 6 tph from Ealing on Sundays - or one train every ten minutes. Unless you were travelling at the most extreme ends of the day, it sounds like a train's gone missing somewhere.

If there is not enough capacity to send the trains through central London there is always the option of emulating today's services (Sun 21st June 2015)... use High Street Kensington as a terminus. The two District Line platforms are not over-taxed.
If capacity at Earls Court is the issue then I can think of solutions for this too.

Ooooh I forgot there were engineering works on the District this weekend. Sorry. That's probably the cause of the 20 minute service - not a missing train at all. Do excuse me.

Or because of the engineering works this weekend, the scheduled service was reduced to operate every 20mins.

This is very inconvenient for me because I am often in a rush to get to places. Have you considered allowing more time for your journey? Then, if you get a shorter connection you arrive earlier than expected and have time for a swift gin!

Come October the District won't be serving Ealing Broadway for a week whilst the points are renewed at Hanger Lane Junction.

No idea what is happening in regards of how the trains will be running.
It's definitely happening one weekend the points are being plain lined so only the Picc will be running past towards North Ealing, then the following weekend the points will be installed with at least a couple of panels like a Lego set for ease of installation. This will also include removing the spring toggle points and installing a full set of power points.

I guess the same will happen again.

As districtsom mentioned, it's a requirement for any renewal plus it makes the points easier to maintain and are more reliable. I'm guessing they'll be surelock units?

From Sat 24 Oct-Sun 1 Nov, no District Line service Turnham Green-Ealing Broadway except for depot movements into/out Ealing Common. TTN106/15 refers. Mon 26 Oct-Fri 30 Oct Piccadilly Line alterations due to District Line works. Sat 31 Oct-Sun 1 Nov Piccadilly Line suspended Acton Town-Uxbridge.
