I have a little niggle telling me it was some of the "standard" stock. Probably wrong. I have heard the term but the connotation escapes me. 1957 also rings a bell.

Speaking of nicknames. Where on the tube is that lovely spot known as "Perverts delight" Edit: I got it wrong. It's "Pervert's Paradise"

You're wrong Q8 but 1957 does have relevance.

Anywhere on the Underground is pervert's paradise at rush hour, cramped escalators, packed stations, and I won't go onto the train itself

How much 'accdiently' touching of other passengers goes on on crowded train then?
I know in China men buy a magazine for the train but not for reading - for rolling up and holding with both hands to prove it wasn't them!

I can't remember the exact location, but I once read there was an advertisement which showed Kyle Mingoue with her backside in the air, T/ops who were handle got so 'interested' in the advertisement it put them off their braking and it caused many overshoots and SPADs, AFAIK because of this the advertisement got taken down.

Got it! Was it the 1935 experimental stock, which was converted to two cars, ISTR that they did the Loughton - Epping service?

Nice one I'm sure I've got a JH Meredith photo of one of the shuttles at Epping, buried deep in a photo album somewhere.
