There used to be an LT staff club over Riverside bus garage next to the Underground station entrance many years ago called the Albert Stanley Institute.
Who was Albert Stanley and what was the purpose of the institute apart from supplying cheap booze to bus and train crews? Presumably it closed when the bus garage was demolished.
