When I was on the Central in the 70s & 80s the train crews were not road trained for all routes for instance Ruislip crews were not trained on the Hainault Loop & needed a pilot man if their train was diverted due to disruption. Is this still the case?Or are they now trained for all routes seeing as the service pattern has changed so much since the introduction of 92TS.

I was at Loughton from 86 to company plan and we were trained on all routes except Grange Hill to Hainault, They all run around the Hainault loop now as through services and are all trained for all routes.

Apart from the W&C. That is crewed only by Leytonstone depot. No other crews are trained on it.
