I gave people on another forum a chance with this one. They didn't get it so lets see if the (allegedly) more erudite can do a better job. ;D
Where exactly was/is Cromwell Curve and between which two stations (precisely please) does/did it run?

Between Gloucester Road and High St Kensington. Specifically I believe it referred to the pair of tracks laid by the District rather than the pair laid by the Met. The Met tracks are, I think, the ones used by the Circle today.

Cromwell Curve was a pair of duplicate tracks from High Street Kensington to Brompton (Gloucester Road) station (with north junction around Cornwall Gardens and south junction around Cromwell Rd).

Both correct so you get to share the usual prize. ;D
There's a nice little diagram in "Steam to Silver" by J Graeme Bruce.

I suspect my source was a bit unsual Not one I've seen before, but then I'm not a Holmes afficionado. A good find though.

It should be noted that the Cromwell Curve was constructed specifically to increase the mileages traveled by District trains, so that they could get more money for their inner Circle workings.
