Because my Oyster card kept failing I transferred my annual to another Oyster online.
I phoned the Oyster helpline and they said they wasn't sure, it would either be that they send a new card to my address or I'd have to explain what happened to an inspector and keep using the paper gold card (even though it's got the wrong card number on)
