I'm going to go for Gants Hill station because it's next to Valentines Park.

The inset is Valentine Place, SE1 (off Blackfriars Road).

It couldn't be Piccy Circus could it? With the Eros statue outside?

No, but you can get to here from there by changing once, via two different routes.

Starting off with short journeys then, it could be Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Warren Street, or possibly some other station, but I think I'll go for Tottenham Court Road, not necessarily my final answer.

It is indeed. This is the central reservation (for want of a better term) on the stairs from platform level to the bottom of the escalators at Southwark, and it was chosen for that reason.
