Does anyone have either a signalling diagram or operating instructions for the access into May and Baker's Yard across the District, please? I know it lasted long enough to be catered for in programme machinification of the District in 1960 - but I can't find my diagram at the mo. EDIT: I've found the YP!
Were there any Eastern Region instructions, please?

All I know is that when I used to travel on the District in the mid 60's there would sometimes be a van standing inside the gates, if it was there in the morning it was invariably there in the evening but gone by the following morning. This suggests that they were moved overnight, possibly outside of the Districts running hours.

I seem to remember it was dropped off/picked up on the west horndon goods.when It left temple mills about 0100 calling at west horndon(serving brown and tawse,a steel pipe factory, and dow mac, concrete sleepers. in my day on the footplate,we then used to run round the train at laindon, and go up to Hornchurch,to drop coal off, then back to temple mills.before my time,i think the train carried on to laindon, southend ect to drop off, then return to may and bakers.that part had stopped running when I joined br in 1982 at ripple lane.
