Hello all! I was looking at the Circle Line History and it has a photo of the station back in 1900ish with a train shed, where 25&26 RD sidings now are. It also said that the station layout was radically changed. Does anyone know what the area was like before the current layout. This is obviously well before Griffith House was built on the South East side of the station. Also a colleague said that there is/was an old signal cabin near Praed St Junction. I know Edgware Road isnt one of "your" stations but you are amongst our favourite drivers ;D C5

There was indeed a cabin at Praed Street, controlling the flat junction. Its code was A.

LT Museum pic U13858 (2 Feb 1934) is a view "near Edgware Road" showing non-electrified sidings, but there is a platform just visible, and a limit of shunt sign, so I assume it is Edgware Road. Not sure what the sidings were used for; the GWR Smithfield trains were mainly scheduled 'off-peak', but they may have been occasionally set back in the sidings to give way to passenger trains?
