Apparently TfL are considering including a DLR extension to Thamesmead using the proposed Galleons Reach Bridge. Some more details here |

IF the bridge gets built (and that's a big if considering the history) then absolutely there should be public transport across it, and the DLR is well placed. South East London needs better public transport on a shorter timescale than this as well though.
