Has anyone heard any news about the outcome of the report into the incident involving the Craven Unit on 1st October. Everything seems to be very quiet about this, nearly three months later.

RAIB reports can take up to a year to be published, possibly shorter if there is an impending public holiday.

I wasn't aware it was to be an RAIB report - have I missed something? Can't find anything listed in the RAIBs "Current Investigations Register"
I was given to understand it would by a Formal Incident Report, which is 'internal' and still awaited.

It quite possibly may not have been the Cravens unit at all that caused it The suggestion presumably being that one of the battery locos towing it could have been the problem - or indeed that there was a fault in the track rather than the train. |

There we go again------I make a statement -realize I've left something out, so post again to include it.and all the smartarses must chip in with total irrelevance. Mr c--125--- I can write much better English than a lot of inmates here. Surely you can gather that the second post was supposed to be a continuation of the first-- I think most people could decipher this without you kindly pointing it out.

The "Cravens Incident" has been discussed already here and as no further information is yet in the public domain it is appropriate for both that and this thread to remain locked.
If anyone has any reports etc that they are able to share please PM a Moderator to discuss thread unlocking.
