The other day, whilst on an off-peak WB Central Line, I and several other passengers noticed a strong burning smell between Holborn and Tottenham Court Rd. There was no smoke, but a clear smell of burning plastic. I couldn't attract attention at TCRd but at Oxford Circus (where I was getting off) spoke to the T/op, who immediately set off back along the platform to investigate. What's the procedure in this sort of case?

Try to avoid repeating the recent incident at holland park (ie don't start climbing out of the windows &c.) - but do raise the T/Ops attention (by pulling the alarm) ASAP

Pulling the alarm has a hidden advantage, it places a marker into the Ontrain Data Recorder, as to the exact alarm operated, which may be of extreme assistance to the Service Technician who may be finding the fault later.
