Hi
Has anyone been on the London Transport Museum - Depot General Tour? Is it worth doing?
I missed out on the Aldwych Disused Underground station tour, as its now fully booked. How often do that offer this tour? Just wondering if i might be offered again.

I found the London Transport Museum - Depot General Tour definitely worth doing. More UndergrounD trains, buses, signage, parts that you know what to do with. More detail from the tour guides/docents than you can imagine. Cool old ticket machines. Yes, get on the tour.

The Aldwych tours are happening around every six months at the moment, although there obviously aren't any guarantees that the pattern will be adhered to. Keep an eye out around September/October for the next ones, most likely.
As for Acton (LTM) depot, both the general tours and the open days are well worth going along to; the tours provide a great opportunity to get close with much of the collection and take photographs etc without the hassle that can be encountered on an open day when it is *very* busy. That said, on both occasions on taking a tour my guide has been very bus-focussed and (attempted) to spend far more time on that collection than the rail vehicles which I was most interested in - so the open days can give a bit more freedom if there is something specific that you want to take a look at.
HTH.
