Kensington Olympia

Somewhere on u.t.l., there was a mention of the single-lead junction at Kensington Olympia that allowed access to the WLER from the District. Are there any interesting tidbits associated with the junction, i.e. wrong sticks or interesting steam workings or anything?

I'd also like to know what Kenny O was like before it was uglified; what sort of station architecture did it have?
