im trying to locate the final closing scene from an episode of bbc survivors from 1976(the tunnel entrance).theres not much to go on im afraid, but i know other locations used where hanwell station, camden deep level shelter, london bank station and the oval cricket ground at kennington.
any help would be great!!! thanks and regards stevo
video from 7.18
directors comentry he say it comes out at hanwell but he got it wrong!
recent information:
No live rails - so that rules out everywhere on London Underground and also most places in London south of the Thames on Network Rail

It's not a lot to go on - do you think a FoIA request to the BBC might bear some fruit? Depending, of course, on whether the material is archived.

I thought it was the same tunnel as in 'The railway children' but that is single track. My guess would be a preserved line with double track. (I'm still looking)

The Imdb film web site only lists general locations, other sites I've looked at don't even list the programme(This will run and run )

Have a gander at this site: survivorsHighly informative. Had it's own site with all the locations, but ain't been updated since 2003-no wonder you get the 404 message when clicking on locations!! I'll do more research-not just into the dodgy 70's facial hair, or Sidney Tafler's towering presence in it, either!

Love it! Still, wonder if the site I found helps-it adds the Drain as a location, for a start. See the first series used the closed Malvern Wells station in Worcestershire. Does this picture of the tunnel there look like the London one? Probably the wrong end of it, but........ I can tell you the episode was filmed on 5th-6th March 1976(Friday & Saturday), which explains how the Drain stars (along with Sydney Tafler!!) Oh & here's a whole page of Highgate HL Tunnel shots: Highate HL TunnelDon't think it was there, but process of elimination at the worst pass.

The picture of Malvern Wells shows the tunnel to be single track (the double track merges to single next to the signal in the middle distance) Highgate was two single track bores.
