Well, I've mentioned it on here before, now I've finally found it! The 24 page paper covered booklet produced in 1923 Diamond Jubilee of the "Metro" dated January 1st 1923.
The book's a bit dog-eared as to be expected, but it's full of gems. Inside the front cover is a colour print of a Met superheated 4-4-4 tank loco, page 2 has a photo of the first trial trip on the Metro showing open wagons lettered S&K with the numbers 23 and 29 in view. Pages 4 and 5 have litho prints of the diversion of the Fleet sewer, and the bursting of the said sewer. There's more lithos of a broad gauge train "near Edgware Road" and construction of tunnels at Kings Cross, Wapping Tunnel, then a photo of Hammersmith showing broad and "narrow" gauge with loco no.4 on show. Pics of staff, then loco no.2 and the opening of Chesham, the reconstruction of Baker Street, trial trip of the first electric train, Baker Street "today", inside Neasden power station, Met Electric locos under construction and the interior of a Pullman car! The locos under construction seems to show them being built "new" and not modified from the earlier camel backs as some have suggested.
There's an interesting paragraph on pages 13 and 14 about Sir Edward Watkin's vision of the Metro linking with the Manchester Sheffield and Lincoln Railway, then south eastwards through to dover and the Channel Tunnel!
If ever I can get the scanner working, I'll get it scanned.
