i work in northwood on friday evenings, and recently everytime i have been waiting to catch a train to pinner, a southbound fast train passes. I thought that this may just be a rate running train, but no, its passed every friday at around 9.15/9.20 and its in service every time. On one occasions, two southbound fasts passed before a southbound stopper turned up! whats going on here? is this timetabled?

Well, with the temporary timetable for leaf fall train 433 is booked 21b02 Amersham to Harrow-on-the-Hill fast, departing Moor Park at 21 20½ and arriving at Harrow-on-the-Hill platform 2 at 21 29½. It then departs at 21 36 and runs fast and empty to Ricky (arrives platform 1 at 21 47½). From there it departs at 21 52 to stable on 23 road at 21 54.
Edit: I can't see any other Met trains booked to run fast around that time.

I was going to suggest it would be a rusty rail movement from harrow platform 2. There may have been a late rubber behind this perhaps.
