Hi, haven't posted for a while, but have a question...
On the modern ATO lines such as Northern, Jubilee, and Victoria, can a train get a limit of movement authority to depart a station, even if the whole train cannot clear the platform (e.g. it can depart, but the next signal would result in the last 2 cards not clearing the platform)? Or can a train only depart when there is sufficient movement authority for the train to entirely clear the platform?
Thanks for any answers.

It's the latter on the Northern (and, therefore, I assume, the Jubilee), trains can't depart until a train lengths' target point is available.

I have heard of cases where the front car of a train and the rear car of another train are in the same platform. (The case I am talking about is when the depot take a train for a test run).

Shepherds Bush on the Central line westbound has the rear cab still in the platform if the train is stopped at the first BMB after the starter

Possibly CHL on the WB due to the short distance from there in to HOL.
