I've looked at the TFL website for accessibility station by station but I am a little confused by it, so I hope a few of you can help with these questions.
On Thursday I will be taking my mother on a day out around London with her in a wheelchair and I want to know which parts of the platforms to take her to be almost certain of a "parking spot" for her wheelchair (a manual one):- Kings Cross St Pancras for the Circle Line, Tower Hill, High Street Kensington, Temple, Westminster, Charing Cross, Bank and Waterloo.
My next question is which stations in Zone 1 DON'T have lifts for wheelchairs users at the moment? I know Embankment doesn't, but which are the others?
I did send an email to tfl about this but they have not replied as I post this, so I'm turning to here to help

There is are two useful maps produced by TfL that will help with some of this: 1: Avoid stairs tube guide 2: Step-free tube guide mapAs the names suggest, there is overlap but they are not identical. The first is aimed at people who can manage escalators and up to three steps, but also shows which have lifts to the platform and which have level/ramp access. The second is aimed at wheelchair users and those who need zero steps for any other reason. It includes a guide to the maximum step (vertical) and gap (horizontal) between the train and the platform at each station with step-free access. I don't know of anywhere that guides where on the train the best place to be is, however at the entrance to some Jubilee line platforms there is a notice saying where on the train to travel for step-free access to various other Jubilee line stations. The Direct Enquires website gives details of the routes around various stations, usually with photos, but it is only really suitable for looking at stations one at a time.

Thanks, Chris, I did look at these and this is what confused me - what with all the gap distances and such...
I suppose going to default and asking for help from the station staff can't harm things!
