I know we're making something of a habit of this but, when I first got to a laptop today, the Central line was part suspended Woodford - Hainault because of a signal failure at Woodford. I was just wondering if anyone had any more details? I only ask because it seems to me that there are numerous ways a service could be run - in one direction or the other, depending on the problem - if Wood Lane wanted to. Naturally, Wood Lane have to consider the service as a whole and this branch is very little-used so will rightly not be a huge priority, especially if the problem is having knock-on effects elsewhere, but that's why I'm asking, because I'd like to understand what was behind the decision affecting my neck of the woods

Maybe they couldn't set the route for the Hainault line at Woodford junction?

The thought had occurred to me. I think, if that was the case, that everyone wanting to travel at all between Woodford and Hainault would have been very happy if the Woodford via Hainaults had continued to run and then headed down to Leytonstone - possibly after holding over in 21 road for a good time. Of course, balancing this with all the other considerations would not necessarily have been easy, but it would seem preferable to a complete suspension.
