On September 3rd I passed Ruislip Depot and noted two sets (8 cars)of 1960/62? stock, marked Rail adhesion train. Could anyone advise me of the identities of these vehicles please. Thank you Nick Beilby.

I can tell you they're 1962 stock. I can't tell you their numbers, I'm afraid, but I'm sure someone here will if that's what you were looking for?

1407-9459-2682-1682-1681-9125-2406-1406 are the numbers. 1407 is the 'D' end DM and 1406 the 'A'. They are semi-permnantly coupled IIRC, with one car being the actual railhead treatment car.

A quick update for you all. On Sandite 1, the trailer car 2682 has been replaced by non driving motor car 9577.

What has happened to the trailer? Scrapped? Which cars carry compressors as only the trailers on 56/59/62 stock had them (two!).

I'm assuming the car is still in Acton Works. There has been a lot of jiggery pokery to enable the compressor to be fitted to the ndm. One of the tanks and some piping has been put in the saloon but there's not that much evidence of the conversion. I'll take some pics when I'm at Ruislip during daylight.

Which cars remain unaltered internally from their passenger days now?

Do all the door open on the train or have most of them been rendered inactive?

Does anyone know if the Central Line RAT is now running daily, with a path shown in the WTT?

The RAT certainly doesn't feature in WTT 67.

The sandite train runs as required and to a special trains notice so will not feature in the main wtt. Ive driven it on a few runs this week but as the autumn goes on the train will run more regularly.
All internal seats have long since been removed and all cars have had some sort of modification but are all recognisable as 59/ 62 stock.
Im now not working Hainault this year so I wont get a chance to photograph the new 9000 car on the east end train.
The pilot unit is the west end train with the sandite car removed out of season.
Last and not least, all but the double doors on the sandite car are disabled and in many cases screwed shut with a metal plate replacing the door rubbers.
