Whilst sitting on the very slow moving 7:35 Chesham fast this morning, the driver announced that we would be running very slowly due to trains going in to the depot in front of us. Is this a problem that occurs often on the Met Fast?
I'll also add I saw very little obvious congestion at Neasden...

A bit early for trains to be stabling in the depot. Unless there were defective trains being put away?

The TFL website is reporting severe delays due to a signal failure at Baker Street. In these instances, some trains will be taken out of service and put into Neasden depot in order to relieve congestion on the run up to Baker Street.

When trains are being sent to depot due to an unplanned service suspension, particularly during the peaks, this always causes considerable congestion on the southbound approach to Wembley Park. Once past Wembley and the entrance to the depot the congestion eases enormously.

Once past Wembley and the entrance to the depot the congestion eases enormously. That was indeed the case this morning. Initially my trAin was to terminate at HOTH, but just before we arrived was advertised as going all the way through. Next time this sort of thing occurs I'll make sure to change for a "slow" train as it would no doubt actually be "fast" from Harrow...

The track layout south of Wembley Park is actually better than it used to be. Now, trains on the fast line through platform 6 can access the depot directly. Before, the lines through platforms 6 and 5 merged before the depot access track, which resulted in queues into Wembley Park on the fast and slow lines!
